The codes
Nepali date conversion consists of two parts
A. Data of number of days that occur in each month in each year. This is the reason why all the Nepali date conversion programs have its limitations
B. Algorithm to convert the date from AD to BS or vice versa.
This is explained with the code in VBA (in Excel) below with the required steps.
1. Open MS Excel
2. Open Visual Basic editor (short cut Alt + F11)
3. Insert a class module
4. Rename the class module to Nepali_Calender in Properties window (F4)
5. Paste the code 1 given at the end of this article
6. Insert a Module (normal module not class module!) and Paste the code 2 . It consists of two functions :
a. nepaliToEnglish(y,m,d,formateCode)
b. englishToNepali(y,m,d,formateCode)
where y,m,d=year, month and day and formate code will display the desired output format
Formate code | Formate |
0 | 20671/25 |
1 | 2067-Mangsir-25 |
2 | 2067-Mangsir-25-Saturday |
7. Now close the editor
8. Save your file as *.xlsm (macro enabled)
9. Now you can use two functions made in step 6
10. To make these functions available to all the worksheets
a. save this sheet as add-ins *.xlam format
b. then enable it at Excel Options>Add in>Manage
c. the function will be available as user defined function under Insert functions
11. . In this code the limits are
a. AD 1944-2033
b. BS 2000-2089
c. if date is out of range then output is string "Out of range"
The readymade file is also available. Download NepaliDateConverterAddIn.xlsm now.

The ENPHO Ammonia Test Kit is especially designed for testing the concentration of ammonia in water.
ENPHO has developed a semi-quantitative low cost field test kit for testing untreated ground water, like tube-well. The salient features of the kit are easy to test, portable and rapid. Once the reagents are finished they can be refilled. If the concentration of arsenic in the water is higher than 150ppb it is better to dilute the sample with distilled water, for better result.
The ENPHO chloride Test Kit is especially designed for on field testing of chloride in water.
The ENPHO dissolve Oxygen Test Kit is especially designed for testing dissolved oxygen in water. This test Kit can be used for testing water from all sources except wastewater. The salient features of this Kit are portability, rapid result, simple method and low cost. Each test kit contains reagents to test 100 water samples. This kit can test the minimum of 0.8mg/l.
Coliform presence/absence test kit is used to detect the bacterial contamination of drinking water. It shows Whether the bacteria is present or absent.
ENPHO has introduced portable Free residual chlorine test kit to test the chlorine content of chlorinated water as well as water from Drinking water supply system.
The ENPHO Iron test Kit is designed for testing Iron concentration in water.
The ENPHO Hardness Test Kit is designed for testing the hardness of water in the field.
The ENPHO Nitrate test Kit is designed for testing Nitrate concentration in drinking water. For testing nitrate the water sample has to be digested which is an easy process.
The ENPHO Phosphate test Kit tests the level of Phosphate concentration in drinking water.
ENPHO Water field test kit is especially designed for testing drinking water and water from fresh water bodies. This kit can test 10 parameters viz. pH, Temperature, Chloride, Hardness, Iron, Ammonia, Nitrate, Phosphate, Free Residual Chlorine and Coliform. This kit can test 100 water samples for each parameter except Coliform. (Only 10 Coliform P/A vials are provided). This kit is designed only for testing drinking water. If drinking water is very turbid it should be filtered before testing with this kit.
